Railway Summer Camp 2024: A Look Back at Four Intensive Days with Fascinating Insights into the Railway Industry

The Railway Summer Camp 2024 offered four intensive days filled with fascinating insights into the world of the railway industry.

On the first day, a visit to Lausanne station, including the signaling systems and the new cable tunnel, introduced participants to the complex technology behind railways.

A highlight of the second day was the ride on the historic "Blauer Pfeil" to Frutigen, followed by a tour of the Lötschberg Base Tunnel.

The third day focused on rolling stock: students visited the depot and operations center of TPF in Fribourg.

Visit from Daniel Schafer, CEO of BLS

The final day was all about the future. Participants worked in groups on various topics and presented their findings. A small job fair wrapped up the day, offering students the chance to connect with potential employers. A special highlight was the visit of Daniel Schafer, CEO of BLS.

The four days were not only educational but also provided a platform for networking and exploring future career opportunities.
